Who is ODESZA?
Odesza is an American electronic–music duo. It is made up of two members, Harrison Mills and Clayton Knight and were previously known as BeachesBeaches and Catacombkid. The duo was formed in 2012, shortly after the duo graduated from Western Washington University. The duo started making music in 2012, they had worked together as a group prior to forming the group. Despite not having any prior experience in music the duo was drawn together through their shared passion of the genre.
ODESZA’s fans aren’t just enthusiastic and loud, but they also show a strong sense of community. The shows and concerts they perform at draw crowds from around the world, and they’ve sold out their shows around the world. Their third album, “A Moment Apart” was released by the duo. Featuring sixteen tracks, A Moment Apart is full of glowing synth lines and powerful atmospheres. The album is beautiful and has amazing lyrics that are incredibly catchy.
ODESZA embarked on a North American tour to promote “Say My Name” following their debut album was released. It was also an official Vimeo Staff Choice. ODESZA’s “Say My Name” video has since gone on to receive airplay on radio stations MTV Hits, MTVU, and Fuse. Since then, the group has collaborated with other artists , and released a compilation album entitled “Family Edition.” In September 2017 they released their third studio album, A Moment Apart. It proved to be a commercial success, making it the top album on various online retailer’s electronic album charts.
After completing his highly anticipated album, ODESZA embarked on a huge North American tour. The group performed at Coachella and sold out a number of dates. The band‘s remix of ZHU’s “Faded” reached the top ten on the Hype Machine chart in 2014. They later performed in Australia, returned to the United States for live shows as well as festivals, and then continued the momentum of their upcoming second album.
